The Heart Damper was invented by professor Roberto Parravicini, inventor and heart surgeon.

It is protected by a patent granted in Italy, the United States, Europe, Canada, Japan, Russia, China and South Korea, and pending in some of the other major countries in the world.

This patent also covers a second and third generation of devices:

  • percutaneous;
  • “active” version (with batteries).

Further patent applications protect specific aspects of the device and of the accessories necessary for its implantation.
